Baut Oost
In trendy East, this modern restaurant with big terrace and original cocktails is situated. Our favorite at the moment with the best price - quality and good atmosphere. Nice to start with a local beer in the afternoon and stay for dinner. Please order the Bitterballen Risotto as appetizer and continue with a flow of tapas food, that changes frequently from the open kitchen. On the other side of the road you find Canvas here you can enjoy the sunset at the 7th floor rooftop terrace. 10 minutes walking. Website information and reservations.
De Plantage
our neighbourhood sweetheart, perfect for the arrival day to come into the vibe of Amsterdam and discover the neighborhood. International cuisine, lot of vegetarian options. Beautiful brasserie style decor with high ceilings and a terrace facing the Amsterdam Zoo Artis. 10 minutes walking. Website information and reservations.
Ku Kitchen
A smaller cosy restaurant with a trendy Japanese / international kitchen. Great cocktails too to start with or Sake. No terrace so only inside. In the lovely Utrechtsestraat where around 15 other culinairy restaurants are situated, so a good choice if you want to go out more spontaneous. 15 minutes walking. Choix
if you want to treat yourself and spend a little bit more, celebrate life at Choix! Beautiful balanced dishes well chosen and take your time for romance and a good talk. International cuisine with lot of vegie options. Take the metro at the end of our street to Central Station and from there it is 5 minutes walking. Website information and reservations.
De Kas
A classic already for years. Harvested in the morning and on your plate in the afternoon. A beautiful green house surrounded by gardens and situated in the East of Amsterdam. Vegetables play a starring role in the menu accompanied by a portion of fish or meat when appropriate. Just rewarded with a Michelin star. Biking distance 10 minutes. Buccia
We love the Italian kitchen and Buccia is one of our favorites. A cosy elegant place in the popular 9 Streets area between the canals on the west side of town. Fun to try out the other side of the buzzy center. Try the daily specials and pastries/ sweets of their next door traditional bakery, so delicious. Biking distance 15 minutes. Bar Bouche
Last but not least, this living room restaurant with attentive hospitality and chill atmosphere. In a way you don't expect the high culinairy experience being served but you will be surprised, every dish well picked and prepared. Mostly on busy Friday and Saturday evenings when when Amsterdam is packed this well kept secret offers place on the big terrace with heaters in wintertime. Website information and reservations.
